RJ Robot Summit Florida on February 18th, 2012
Come to Florida in February 18th, 2012! When the northern denizens are freezing cold, break away and warm your bones and robot love in St. Petersburg, FL. Make it a business (fun) trip!

We have plans for a full day of robot fun on Saturday, February 18th, 2012. This is a Long weekend where President's day in the U.S. may give extra time for beaches, Disney, Gardens and even more fun.
Members TattooJack and Admin have plans to open up their homes to visitors. Then there will be a lunch cook-out as well as evening par-tay plans.
More details to come, but be sure to reserve your vacation days as well as book a flight! That or get your car road-worthy, as it has been a blast in the past.
There will also be some great robot trading. Plans include at least 10 tables for a free swap-meet. Score those toys you've been waiting for and pay Zero $ in shipping.
Here is a newer Hotel near by the summit, that members liked in the past:

Will do, thx. Anime FX is in the St. Pete area for all you anime fans. Note that Emerald city Collectibles is around the corner too.
Hey, you guys realize that this is the same weekend as megacon, right? Summit on friday, florida's biggest convention on saturday? Wow, this will be a mind-blowing weekend.
Actually, the summit is on Saturday, not Friday. But MegaCon looks like it runs Friday through Sunday, so you can go before or after. http://www.megaconvention.com/
Yep, you get two events for the price of one. LOL Orlando is only a 90 minute drive away.

Yes perhaps Tony. Diecast is where it is at.
Esteemed colleagues and collectors, I am seriously looking forward to this get together. I've got a heck of a weekend planned with Megacon Friday and the summit on Saturday
Awesome Tom. TTYS! Megacon will be a nice tie=in for the weekend.
Hi Ed!
What time? Btw, I'm a graphic designer. You want to trade for some design work for that Gakeen?
Warmly!
Do These Ever Come To Philadelphia Area PA ?
Can Anyone Recommend Any Local Shops for Anime Toys ?
Thank You.
I plan on starting the event around 2 PM or so! LMK if there is any objection.
Ed
2 PM unless there is an objection. We can talk things over in person :)

-Looks like we are getting artist Robby Musso to visit us (Transformers Comic artist) ! He plans on bring a few goodies.
Also, we have an Anime and Cel expert joining us, Bryan Powell.
Awesome! I haven't seen Robby since the first one. He's a super nice guy and an extremely talented artist! Can't wait to catch up with him - he was missed at the last one.
Interesting to hear about our other attendee. Should I bring my old cels for opinions/maintenance suggestions?
Bring stuff for the trading/sales table for sure! Bryan should be able to help see what cels you have and give an opinion on it.
Looks like some freebies may be coming too. Details TBD.
Damn! Wish I could go! >
Nice! Robby Musso is dropping by?
Tell him I said hi, though he has no clue who I'm.
Is he's still working under the IDW label? ;P Or is he freelancing?
Note that Valent Wang and Don Figueroa are on a special Mecha Workshop project right now. Readers can review a recent article on this last year. There is a strong chance that they will be able to send over a few printed freebies. This is all coming together, hopefully, just in time for the Summit.
The project will produce a comic and then TOYS. I find there to be strong influences of mid 80's mecha as well as piloted toys like Macross, Orguss, Dougram and the like. That said, the designs I've seen are UNIQUE and killer .

Fred will be flying in to join us & he's a kitbasher of microman everything. Check his site out and he has new products in the work:

I am excited to go!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a favor to ask of anyone going. I'd like to take a picture of my Jetfire next to a classics Jetfire and a Bandai 1/60 VF-25F Messiah Alto. But I don't have the classics or the VF25F. If someone who's going has either of those could you bring it to the show? Thanks.
Post this on the facebook site and the forum as well - you will have better luck getting a reply.
All in favor of a notification system, say I. lol
About $500 of freebie posters arrived. -Thanks to Valent and Don at Mechaworks!
Also, we have Maelstorm from the boards confirming. He's a Lucky Draw and BIG time TF collector....should be bringing some goodies to show off.
Ed
Thanks everyone who attended! Updates and a wrap-up will be posted on the RJ forum!
