From the anime series Casshan. Or is it Casshern? Maybe Kyashan? Whatever - I've never seen it. I just know the dog turns into a bike and other vehicles.
I saw the 1993 OVA version of the show - it was pretty good. Add it to your Netflix queue (search under "Casshan: Robot Hunter"). This was based on a 1973 anime. Of course, there's also the live action movie Casshern that I absolutely love. I see that there was also Casshern Sins, a reboot of the show. Never saw it or the original 1973 show.
