Ramble Giant

Diecast Robot Base from Fight Red Tiger, Japan

Ramble Giant (about 7" tall) is known as an "A" frame robot, a style derived from older tin robot designs of the 60's. The Giant originated from a 1978 live action show called "The Great UFO War: Fight, Red Tiger!". It was actually a base in the cartoon and shoots small jets and cars off of the two spring-loaded launch platforms. The head has three faces that can be rotated to show red, yellow, and black eyes-- weird!

The front abdomen houses a base for the plastic jets and cars. In a quick pinch two of the four hands can be launched at a time. If that doesn't work then the base has a rip saw on the back.

I have yet to find out why there are yellow blades sticking out or why there are two "waist missiles" that don't shoot. I can only imagine the anime show.

The base has jets on the bottom in red plastic and rollers on the arms and legs. The metallic enamel is superb and incredibly shiny. More than 80% of the robot is die-cast.
