Transformers Armada pictures by Hasbro appear below. You may recall that the series began with the release of some mid-sized (Deluxe) toys such as Laserbeak, Demolisher, Hot Shot, and Cyclonus. Of them I would say that the young trouble-making Hot Shot is my favorite character and toy.
Large Armada toy Figures included the dreded Megatron and Starscream battling the ever vigilant Optimus Prime and Starscream. Optimus was the most expensive action figure of the group, costing over $42 dollars in many stores.
I found the entire toy line to be quite sturdy and well thought out. Yes, some of the designs were "low-brow" for adults, but guess what? These are kids toys and quite affordable. Around Christmas time 2003 I didn't find one left on the shelves in the New York metro area. Kids loved them and gobbled them up. -My hats off to Hasbro. |
