Great Robot Base
This over 16" tall robot was produced for the famous pre-transformer series-- Diaclone.
Surprisingly the elbows, shoulders, head, knees, and waist have multiple points of articulation. The Marmit Daigokin Mazinger Z weeps with envy.....
The base comes with 5 of the obligatory small driver figures; primary colors are a must. Each has magnetic feet, a metal head, and moveable arms & legs. The entire robot leg runway is made of metal just so the guys can stick around. Where's Waldo?

Each of the fists and the arm cannon can fire over 6".... watch out li'll sister. Both fists have a hole and metal to hold a driver. The helmet can tip down and hold a gray space ship. Silver compartments flip open just above the knees. Drivers and spare parts can be stored inside.
Chromed windows tip down to reveal metal lithographed control panels and a revolving chair. Just below the command center is an escalator. Rubber treads and a crank can help move the denizens away to safety.
Each foot has a hidden red space-car that can shoot away.

Similar to Iron Gear by Clover, each leg can split and help the robot transform into a laser-laden base. Rubber treads on the legs propel the command center.
One look at the catalog and you realize how innovative and prolific the Diaclone line was. My opinion is that the line deserves more respect in the toy collector world.

Detailed Takara box graphics are featured over the entire box.
