Mach Baron
GA-07 Vintage Chogokin from Japan
Below are pictures of the Mach Baron diecast robot produced by Popy around 1974. This classic chunk of chogokin (super alloy metal) was produced in honor of the live action show Mach Baron. Live Action TV shows of Mach Baron aired from November 1974 to March 1975 and were produced by Nippon Gedai. Picture men in rubber suits kicking the life out of psychedelic monsters.
You will notice that the chest has two missiles that fire from it (yes, unsafe pointy missiles) and a car that fits inside the foot.

The toy is predominantly diecast metal, including the arms and legs. The head and fists are about the only parts made of plastic, making this about the most dense vintage robot. Note the great paint applications on the head, chest, and tops of each fist.
Mach Baron is well liked by Japanese toy collectors and one of my personal favorites.
