Trans Jets Robot

also known as Transor Z or Mazinga Z.

Above and below are pictures of one of the few large Mazinga Z or Tranzor Z robot toys. It is most likely a knock-off toy released in the early 1990's or possibly the late 1980's. The toy isn't Made in Japan but takes liberties in using the body mold from the Popy Guardian (Godaikin) toy. Then we have a unique head sculpt and original wings added in.

Below you can see all the missiles and a Guardian'esque sword.

am a big fan of this Mazinga Z toy. It is quite large-- of the same size as Guardian-- and pulls together all the important aspects of Mazinga. We have the red wings, Mazinga head, and then our Jet Pack. -Average quality, yes, but how many other 12" tall diecast Mazinga toys were produced before it? None. So I consider this a very unique robot with no equivalent.
