The Godaikin by Popy and distributed by Bandai SG-01
As a kid the design of Tetsujin 28 eluded me. I could never figure out why it was so much taller and did not transform as the other Godaikins did. Later I found out that it represents the one attempt of Popy to create a Chokinzoku or super deluxe robot made of diecast (chogokin). The oversized design proved to not be "cost effective" but it has given collectors a robot over 18" tall with more than 12 magnets and chrome throughout. Each robot boy and assistant robot can magnetically stick to the chest and legs of T28. The chrome helmet crest can be removed to become a second axe. Both fists can fire and the jet pack is secured by magnets. Finally a chest panel can rotate down to fire two red missiles.
The roboboy is on a rotating platform with mock controls. The chrome robot is on an elevator that raises and lowers using the jack screw on the back of the foot. Four leg panels and two arm panels along with the chest are removable and secured by magnets.
