SD Superior Defender Gundam Model Kit RX78-GP01Fb
Kit fun for cats and Kids. Below we have a set of pictures from my Level 1 Model kit build. Open ze box, break ze seal, grab the snips, and let the fun begin.
The Level 1 model was NOT a breeze to build. It was relatively easy but I recommend purchasing snips or toenail clippers of some sort. Tiny hands are necessary, the finished kit is about 4 inches high. Adults may find the parts small; kids are the perfect builders. Once you know that the kit is not a breeze and represents a small challenge, sit back for an enjoyable 30 minutes of kit building fun.
Obviously you can spend more or less time depending on the level of detail you add. I only built the kit and added decals. You may want to use a pen, pencil, or special paint pen and add in more details such as panel lines and highlights. For the aspiring pros you can use an airbrush and plastic putty for the perfect effect.
All instructions were clearly illustrated. Details were numbered and written in English. The catalog made good use of color. This model's instructions were excellent.
Parts were sturdy and, as always, Bandai Japan has made a precision toy. I found all the parts to be a perfect fit. All of the pieces were well molded and either in plastic or PVC. Cat not included (you will see Fish trying to eat her way into the kit).
For comparison I have included a SD Gundam figure side-by-side. You will see that this kit is a about 3/4 scale to the pre-built cousin.
My overall impression was that this is a fun model for kids. Once you are finished, though, do not expect to have a big toy. Here we have big fun in a pint sized package.
